Settings for other Office 2000 Applications Include Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and FrontPage

Excel

  • No critical setting adjustments are necessary in Excel
  • KanjiKit 2000's settings should be as followed:
    • From KanjiKit main menu, make sure that "SJIS" is checked
    • From "Tools", Make sure that "Enable Unicode input" option is checked
    • From "Tools," Make sure that "Output JIS code in Shift JIS or EUC mode" is NOT checked
    • is displayed on the left button of KanjiKit tool bar

PowerPoint

  • From "Tools" menu, select "Options..."
    • Click "Edit" tab, then turn off "Replace straight quotes with smart quotes" option
    • Click "Spelling and style" tab, then turn off "Check spelling as you type" option
  • KanjiKit 2000's settings should be as followed:
    • From KanjiKit main menu, make sure that "SJIS" is checked
