Optimal Setting Adjustment
for Microsoft Works

Before using MS Works with KanjiKit 2000, make sure that "Enable Unicode input" in KanjiKit Main menu is checked.

Word Processor
Go to "Tools" and select "Options"
Click on "Edit" tab and clear the check mark on "Use smart quotes"
When inputting Japanese, select a Japanese font [e.g. UWJMG3 (SJIS), UWJGOT (SJIS), MS Mincho, or MS Gothic]

Spreadsheet/Database
Follow the same process for Word Processor mentioned above
Select a Japanese font [e.g. UWJMG3 (SJIS), UWJGOT (SJIS), MS Mincho, or MS Gothic]
When inputting Japanese in a cell, double click on the cell, and make the cursor blink in the cell, and type Japanese
